He is the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The most famous avatars of all dashavataras. Unlike other incarnations, he served many purposes with this avatar. He was born to Vasudev and Devaki in Mathura. Incidentally, Mathura was established by Lord Rama's brother, Shatrughana.
